How Quickly Gigs Get Booked

We are always encouraging our performers to follow-up with clients by phone soon after submitting their GigMasters bids. The keyword here is soon. Why? Because the early bird gets the worm. In other words, our gigs book quickly!!

I decided to look at the nearly 40,000 bookings done through our site in the last year and a half (excluding performer-added bookings). I wanted to see what percentage of gig requests are booked within 1 day of the request being filled out by the client, what % are booked within 2 days, what % are booked within 3 days, within 5 days, etc. The results surprised me. I knew the gigs went fast, but i didn't realize they went THIS fast!

The numbers are pretty compelling and so we will continue to encourage all of our performers to not only respond quickly to gig requests [see Anatomy of a 5 Star Performer - Part 2], but to also follow-up soon after with a phone call.

NOTE: We realize that many of our performers are often on the road for long periods of time and it may be several hours (if not days) before they can be back in front of a computer.
